Way To Go Grads!

ZANE’s Annual Graduation Barbecue was successfully held this past Saturday, June 5th 2010 at Arsenal Park in Watertown, Massachusetts. ZANE’s Education Department hosts this graduation barbecue every year in honor of graduates in the community. ZANE believes in the ‘Power of an Education.’ That is why it acknowledges the hard work and determination these individuals exemplify. The graduates share this momentous day with their loved ones, friends and of course the ZANE community!

Class of 2010 comprised of three young achievers:

Ms. Tabo Biemba – graduated from High School
Ms. Mbita Mbao – graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work
Ms. Mercy Harrison – graduated with a Bachelors degree in Nursing

ZANE’s Honorary Graduate of the Class of 2010, is none other than Ms. Dorothy Harrison.

The event got off to a great start with the weather holding up, making it perfect for barbecuing and outdoor sports activities. Partners and Friends of ZANE joined the community for this pleasant day. The Grill master showed off his skills on the grill, by grilling to perfection a wide variety of meats, much enjoyed by all in attendance.

Rev. Margaret Masuwa, ZANE’s Co-Spiritual Advisor offered the graduates wise words of encouragement. She advised them to continue pursuing their goals and told them that their education is a stepping stone to a bright and shining future.

Thanks to all who came out and supported our graduates!
